The Landscape of Knowledge
The Summer 2012 edition of Connecticut College Magazine features a profile of David Rubin, Founding Partner of Land Collective. Rubin was interviewed by Bill Hanrahan while in attendance at the American Academy in Rome. In the profile, Rubin discusses his undergraduate education in the Fine Arts and the History of Art, and the advantages obtained studying at a liberal arts institution, particularly as a foundation for a practice in landscape architecture and urban design.
"As a result of my education at Connecticut, I have been able to look at the world with a broad-spectrum view - a capacity to see in panorama, not myopically," says Rubin who has returned to campus often to visit architectural studies classes. "Landscape architecture invites participation from all sectors of society."
